This is a specialized form of massage focused on fascial manipulation—a hands-on technique designed to address restrictions in the body’s connective tissue system. To ensure proper grip and effective treatment, this massage is performed fully clothed and without oils.
Fascia is a web-like network of elastic connective tissue that surrounds and interweaves through your muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, and organs. It gives your body shape, structural support, and acts as an integrated system that connects everything together. Containing a high density of nerve endings—nearly as many as the skin—fascia also plays a critical role in proprioception: your ability to sense your body’s position in space and respond to your environment.
